Concerts are back at Sewerby Hall and Gardens!

The team at Sewerby Hall and Gardens are delighted to welcome back visitors to a series of three Orangery concerts on Thursdays.

Thursday, 1 July will see the Driffield Ukulele Band in concert from 2pm - 3pm, covering a variety of songs from the 50's to the present day, including pop, folk and country. Due to social distancing, the performance will take place in the Band Stand. Seating will not be available, so visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnic chair or blanket. Visitors should dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day of the performance. The event may be cancelled in poor weather conditions.

On Thursday, 8 July, Sax Forte will be in concert from 2pm - 3pm. Sax Forte are a York based saxophone quartet with an excellent repertoire, including classical, jazz standards and swing. Due to social distancing, the audience will be seated outdoors on the grassed area in front of the Orangery whilst Sax Forte performs from outside the Orangery. Visitors should dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day of the performance. The event may be cancelled in poor weather conditions.

Thursday, 15 July will feature The Headlanders in concert from 2pm - 3pm. The Headlanders cover a range of musical choices drawn predominantly from the past 50 years, although they often include more traditional songs and tunes. Their choices are always music which they enjoy; with guitar, mandolin and button accordion, they bring their own style to the songs and tunes they play. Due to social distancing, the audience will be seated outdoors on the grassed area in front of the Orangery whilst The Headlanders perform in front of the Orangery. Visitors should dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day of the performance. The event may be cancelled in poor weather conditions.

All the concerts are included in the normal admission prices.
