A new and fun set of resources for under 5s to explore Sewerby Zoo has been launched.
Young visitors can now put on an explorer hat, grab a bucket and fill it up with items such as binoculars, shape spotters and zoo explorer cards to help them look more closely at the animals whilst enjoying the zoo itself.
The zoo explorer cards feature specific animals for children to find, with questions, facts and challenges to help families investigate together.
Lucy Cooke, under 5s learning co-ordinator at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "We are delighted that our young visitors can further explore and engage with our fantastic zoo, with its many interesting mammals and birds to spot and learn more about.
"And these items are available for the young explorers and their grown-ups during East Riding term-time, dependent on the weather."
Use of the resources is included within general admission to the zoo. For further information about Sewerby Hall and Gardens, including the zoo and other activities for under 5s to enjoy, please visit www.sewerbyhall.co.uk
