About the centre
Hedon Children’s Centre is located in the charming, market town of Hedon.The friendly, passionate and knowledgeable staff team work alongside colleagues from Midwifery and Health Visiting to provide a range of activities and services for children and their parents or carers, grandparents or childminders from pregnancy to age 9.We have recently achieved the Gold Standard Baby Friendly Accreditation which enables us to better support families with feeding and developing close, loving relationships with their babies.

Limited car parking available on George Street, However there are a number of car parks that are in short distance to Hedon Children’s Centre. Long stay car parks located at Thorn Road Car Park and the Railway Station Car Park on Preston Road.Short stay car parks are located at Magdalen Gate Car Park, Iveson Close Car Park and Church Lane Car Park

Accessibility
Hedon Children’s Centre is a two story building and the ground floor is accessible for the vast majority of users. Wherever reasonable practicable all rooms on the ground floor can be set up and used flexibly in order to accommodate individual needs. There is an accessible toilet and the main entrance door to the reception has a low level automatic push button operation

Additional information
Hedon Children’s Centre also offers some services in outreach locations such as local village halls in Bilton, Hedon and Keyingham. (see our events page ADD LINK for further detail) The Children’s Centre shares a site with the local Youth & Family Support Team as well as midwives and registrars. The Registrar is based at Hedon Children’s Centre on a Tuesday morning where births and deaths can be registered.
