Find out more about the Tour de Yorkshire Community Fund and how to apply.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council established a new small grant fund to help eligible communities in the East Riding to celebrate and enjoy the Tour de Yorkshire 2020 cycle race.
The race was due to start in Beverley on Thursday 30 April 2020 but has been postponed due to COVID-19. It is hoped that the race can still be held later this year and the Community Fund has been suspended until a rescheduled date is available.
More information about the race can be found on the Tour de Yorkshire page.
Eligible applicants are those parish and town councils through which the route of the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race passes.
See below to view a map of the race route and the eligible parish and town councils:

Parish and town councils may apply in partnership with other groups or organisations (e.g. schools, village hall associations) should they wish, as long as the town or parish council is the lead applicant. Parish and town councils are encouraged to liaise with other interested organisations within their communities before submitting an application.
The fund will be available to help with the costs of events directly related to the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race, including community activities, street decorations, themed artwork or exhibitions.
Applicants can apply for a maximum of £500 and a minimum of £100 per project. Successful applications must demonstrate appropriate community benefit and/or community input.
The council also provided a community fund for the 2019 Tour de Yorkshire race which supported some excellent events across the East Riding. Please access the document below to see a summary of the projects supported by last year's fund:

Applications to the fund should be made on an online application form within the council's Flexi-Grant system.
Applications are currently suspended until a rescheduled date for the 2020 race is available. Further information will be posted in due course.
